Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei “One-Hour Auto Parts Circle” Officially Launched; Smart EV Eco-Hub Kicks Off

On 14 July, the governments of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei jointly released the “Smart & New-Energy Vehicle Technology Eco-Hub Construction Plan,” turning the long-discussed “one-hour auto-parts supply circle” from concept into reality.

The hub will cover 8,000 mu (≈5.33 km²), split across three parks in Shunyi (Beijing), Wuqing (Tianjin) and Langfang (Hebei), operating under unified planning, synchronized investment and a shared testing platform. The first plants are slated to come on line by end-2026, cutting average procurement radius by 60 % and logistics costs by over 20 %.

1. Supply-chain revolution: OEMs such as Li Auto, Xiaomi Auto and Great Wall can now source critical parts on a same-day, just-in-time basis.

2. Investment boom: On launch day, 20 tier-one suppliers—including CALB, FAWER and Sanhua—signed letters of intent worth more than RMB 12 billion.

3. Export gateway: Tianjin Port Group simultaneously unveiled a “Smart Auto Parts Express” liner service, promising 48-hour delivery from the hub to major ports in Japan, Korea, Europe and the U.S.
